As Executive Director, Cheryl provides leadership and vision for Independent Living Services Simcoe County. She works closely with the Board of Directors, partners, and our amazing staff to drive our mission forward — helping adults with disabilities and seniors live independently in the community they choose. Cheryl is passionate about building strong teams, ensuring quality services, and creating lasting community impact.

Anna leads the Corporate Services and Finance team, making sure the organization’s operations run smoothly and sustainably. From budgeting and financial planning to overseeing IT, facilities, and contracts, Anna plays a key role in keeping everything on track so we can focus on what matters most — supporting our clients and communities.

At ILS, people matter — and Steve, our Director of People and Culture, makes sure of it. Steve leads our human resources and talent development efforts, nurturing a supportive, inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. He focus on building a positive employee experience, strengthening leadership, and ensuring our team has the tools they need to succeed.

Katy Ghovanlou plays a key role in overseeing client-focused services and ensuring individuals receive the support they need to maintain their independence and quality of life. Through her work, she helps create meaningful impact by empowering people to live more independently, stay connected to their communities, and enhance their overall well-being.
